Swimming Pace Clock

A swimming pace clock is a large, circular clock typically found at the end of swimming lanes in pools. It's used by swimmers and coaches to monitor and time their swims and intervals during practice sessions. Here are some key features and uses of a swimming pace clock:

Large Display: Pace clocks have large, easy-to-read displays, usually with seconds marked around the perimeter of the clock face.

Minutes and Seconds: The clock displays both minutes and seconds, allowing swimmers to time their laps precisely.

Counterclockwise Movement: Unlike regular clocks, swimming pace clocks move counterclockwise, which helps swimmers easily see how much time has elapsed since the start of their interval or swim.

Interval Training: Coaches use pace clocks to set intervals for swimmers. For example, they might instruct swimmers to start every 1 minute and 30 seconds, so swimmers can see exactly when to start their next lap based on the moving clock.

Stroke Rate and Pace: Swimmers use the pace clock to monitor their stroke rate and pace. They can time themselves over a set distance and then calculate their average speed per lap.
